Mission Statement 

boys team charity (btc) is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities.


Goals

  1. 1.  Serve the Community: Develop a sense of social responsibility.
  1. 2.  Promote Personal Growth: Build self esteem and a giving spirit.
  2. 3.  Strengthen Family Relationships:  Deepen bonds with parents by working together in boys team charity.
  3. 4.  Develop Leadership Skills:  Cultivate respect and an appreciation of others by working as a team, 
         developing leadership skills, and creating friendships.
  4. 5.  Provide Educational Opportunities:  Provide young men with experiences that foster their community responsibilities and goals.

 

More about btc and what the commitment looks like?

- Boys are “TeamMates” and parents are “Coaches.”

- There are approximately 25 boys in each Team. Teams are grade-specific (we maintain a waitlist of interested candidates should we not have openings on a particular team).

- btc Leagues host three General Membership Meetings per year that both TeamMates and Coaches attend and an additional three TeamMate Meetings (grade level) throughout the year.

Membership Fees are $200 per year for a family with one son and $100 for each additional brother.

Coaches are required to serve in a leadership role for at least one term during their btc tenure.

btc Reno applicants are eligible for membership if living in or attending schools in the zip codes 89521 or 89511.


Minimum Required Time - TeamMates and Coaches:

We have two types of hours requirements:

Philanthropy Hours are earned while serving at one of your League’s approved philanthropies events. 

League Hours are earned by attending General Membership Meetings, Team Meetings (grade level), committee work, etc.

If interested in joining, please complete our Prospective Member Application above to apply.   You will be contacted soon about class formation. Should interest exceed capacity, a membership draw will be held to determine membership in each class.
